About Laura A.

I am currently a Program Manager for the Google for Startups Accelerator Program. Before this, I was the Director of Events at Diamond Integrated Marketing, where I lead a team that executed events for TD, The Score, and The Arthritis Society. Prior to this role, I was a Senior Account Manager for The Mint Agency, where I specialized in program and event planning for Google Canada. I managed a small team that executes virtual events for over 12 Google programs that take place either monthly or quarterly each year. Prior to this role, I was a Senior Account Manager at Simon Pure Marketing, where I specialized in executing multi-city experiential marketing events across Canada for a portfolio of high-profile clients that included, Walt Disney Canada, Subway, Veritas Communications, and Strategic Objectives. Before my role at Simon Pure, I was the Corporate Event Manager at FrontStream, where I lead all strategic and tactical aspects of our conference and event planning efforts in North America, and co-hosted the top-rated fundraising podcast - Asking for More. I have been an alumni mentor to the Humber Fundraising program, as well as the guest speaker and mentor to the University of Guelph's Centre for Business and Student Enterprise (CBaSE) Program, and sat on the planning committee for the AFP Congress three-day conference for over nonprofit professionals from 2017 - 2018. I completed the Project Management Certificate Program at U of T, as well as completed the Business Management Certificate Program at Ryerson University.
