About Laura Ahsmann

I want everybody to be able to live life at its maximum, while creating a better world for our future generations.’’ The challenge in this goal lies deep in our current lifestyle, which forces us to live in a certain way, and is difficult to step out of. In my opinion, design is a solution. By means of clever research, design and development of things we actually need (not only to survive, but also to live a good life) with resources we actually have, product designers are capable of the creation of a better world. My ambition is to become a good project manager with a solid background of knowledge and experience and the skills to find, select, learn from and use expertise and skills of others in order to create a valuable product. Crossing borders is an important factor to reach this goal. My goal is to specialize in a design field of sports engineering, where I can focus on the human body and how to support or enhance its physical performances in different contexts. If I can contribute to the improvement of another’s quality of life in any sense, I consider my design successful. I am currently looking for an internship or temporary position in the field of sports engineering or biomechanical design.
