About Laura Andrew

I provide art therapy to children, youth, adults, couples, and families. I offer individual and group art therapy sessions. I am currently offering art therapy services virtually, for youth and adults. I also offer land-based art therapy sessions where clients can make art with natural materials, work outdoors, cultivating their ecological identity and personal connection with the land, nature and the more-than-human world. ​I work from a relational, strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to help clients discover their inner strengths, increase self-awareness, and build the skills necessary to face life’s challenges. I believe that the creative process is healing and life enhancing, and I am dedicated to the power of the expressive arts as an instrument for self-reflection, self-care, personal growth, change, and healing. I also have a passion for working with textiles crafts, exploring the metaphors of healing and reparation through slow, intuitive stitching and mending. Art therapy can benefit people experiencing grief and loss, life transition and trauma recovery, and can be used to support healing, growth and to deepen personal insight.
