Change is Good – words I’ve chosen to live my life by. No matter how you look at life there will be change some good and some just not the way you planned; but either way it will change. This outlook in life is what inspires me in the world of technology and the future to come. I have never been able to become complacent in my career or I would have been left behind. Whether I’m bringing technology or aquatic fitness experiences into the hands of others is an amazing way to spend your day. Teaching, troubleshooting and showing someone a different way to do something is what I strive for. I love to see that “ah ha” moment when someone tells you a problem they are having and you show them something with a few keystrokes or swim strokes that changes everything for them at that moment. I made a change and I changed something for someone; this is my “ah ha” moment. I take this same philosophy when it comes to managing people. Take time to listen to them, understand their needs and the way they communicate and at first change my ways to help them. Soon they will change their ways to help you and at that moment you have a successful working relationship that you both will strive to be the best by working together towards the same goal. I’m often described as being very upfront and extremely loyal, both attributes I hold very dear to me. I have been asked to define these 4 words below: Integrity, Initiative, Teamwork and Accountability I know how I define them and I challenge you to define them for yourself and see if you can find some room for change.
