About Laura Bechthold

I’m a professor and foresight expert who helps, by showing them how to — without getting stuck in assumptions. What motivates me is to help people build — by moving beyond narrow definitions of intelligence, strategies, progress, or the future. I love to build bridges between science and practice, technology and society, present and future generations. My work explores and develops solutions for responsible innovation and new modes of living and working in a technologized world. During my studies, I discovered that I experience a strong kind of — an inborn ability to connect different senses and perceptions, such as seeing numbers in colors or time as a spatial landscape. This helps me blend logic and emotion, intuition and evidence, and to identify patterns others often overlook.
