About Laura Bisbee

My mission is to guide students to explore the cultures and communication of people around the globe with wonder and curiosity — whether by sharing discoveries, leading unique experiences, or telling tales of the extraordinary. Over the past few years, I’ve crafted and used media, narrative, and experiences to facilitate a conference with 27 participants from over 30 countries, link the luxury rail industry between Europe and the United States, and lead over 300 students in language and cultural learning. The journey kicked-off in 2011 as an international student in China—the challenge of adapting to life in another culture was too interesting of a temptation to ignore. Three years in a Chinese workplace, several rounds of culture shock, and many attempts at Mandarin later, the journey is now about working with multicultural teams to design and facilitate transformative travel, experiential education, and cultural connection.
