I am delighted to serve the state of Ohio and the region as Cleveland State University's 8th President. I am a results-driven leader, guided by evidence and values-based decision making. I believe in building social equity, advancing shared governance, and enabling community-led approaches to solving society's biggest problems. Am honored to be a three-time recipient of awards for University level teaching and advising. In 2019 I was elected a National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) Fellow. My academic research focuses on cross-sector leadership, program evaluation, and interdisciplinary educational policy. Co-editor of two award-winning books: Public Value and Public Administration; and Creating Public Value in Practice: Advancing the Common Good in a Multi-Sector, Shared-Power, No-One-Wholly-in-Charge World.
