I am a Generalist in IT and am excellent at communicating difficult or intimidating technical concepts to non-technical people as well as those well versed in technology. My broad background includes corporate software, customer service and support, database reporting and analytics for the real estate, manufacturing, health care and insurance industries. My managers have recognized me as a customer service oriented professional with demonstrated skills in: training people to use technology effectively, learning new technologies quickly and solving complex problems. I got into the field of user support by starting at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a temp to set up their software licensing system. My co-workers gave me more work until I was eventually hired as desktop support to work for the company directly. At that point, I also decided to pursue my interest and increase my knowledge in the field by going to WCTC for Network Specialist courses.
