About Laura Bowes

As a Resourcing Consultant for University College Dublin, I am working within the HR Services function as part of the wider resourcing team. I provide direct support to a number of colleges, schools and units within UCD. My role focuses on providing a comprehensive quality service, ongoing support and day-to-day guidance to Heads of Schools and units to help them understand their individual requirements with a view to building effective and efficient resourcing plans to meet their needs. Previous to this, I was working as a Senior Executive Assistant in the Resourcing Department in University College Dublin. I had responsibility for the full recruitment cycle from advertising through to contract stage. My role prior to this again within UCD was working within the UCD Centre for Human Reproduction providing administrative support to the Head of Department, staff and students. I have worked on specific administrative projects which have facilitated the smooth operation of the department and research centre on a day-to-day basis. I am skilled in management, time management, event planning, office administration, and public administration. I have recently completed my MSc in Human Resources Management, gained a professional diploma in Project Management and I have most recently completed a course in cybersecurity. When I am not working, I enjoy visiting new places in Ireland, forever searching for the perfect place to drink coffee and people watch. I enjoy the odd Netflix binge (who doesn't), live gigs and reading, but I mainly enjoy spending time with my family.
