About Laura Bracun
My education and working background is tied to proteins, protein structure, photosynthesis, and cellular and molecular biology. I have a PhD degree in structural biology. During my PhD, I have gained expertise in extracting information from published papers and applying them to my own research, cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) technique, protein analysis and protein structure analysis, the workings of photosynthetic apparatus and the bacterial cell. I have also gained valuable experience in writing research papers, preparing figures for them, considering my data critically, managing my experiments and working independently. I am interested in a variety of topics, including protein structure, bioenergetic processes, cellular biology, environmental biology and evolution. Though my research has thus far not been connected to application of science in technology, I have a passion for innovation and engineering as well as learning new things.
