About Laura Budd

I’m a qualified educator and rehabilitation professional with a unique combination of experience in Religious Education, Philosophy, and Sport Rehabilitation. I began my career as a secondary school RE teacher, where I helped students think critically, explore diverse worldviews, and engage with complex ideas. Alongside this, I developed a personal interest in physical health and movement, which led to my decision to retrain and refocus professionally. I qualified as a Personal Trainer, then progressed to complete an MSc in Sport Rehabilitation while supporting clients through joint pain and COVID-19 recovery programmes. My work now bridges education, rehabilitation, and wellbeing. I’ve supported individuals with a range of needs — from post-operative recovery and long-term musculoskeletal conditions, to physical inactivity and deconditioning. I enjoy helping people build confidence in their bodies again through evidence-based movement and structured behaviour change support. With a strong background in both clinical and classroom environments, I value opportunities that involve teaching, coaching, or guiding others — whether in health promotion, recovery, or broader educational contexts. I’m especially interested in roles within public health, community wellbeing, or rehabilitation services that combine person-centred care with education and prevention.
