About Laura Cordero

Hi, I am Laura and I have a Bachelors in Health Sciences with a concentration in Biological Health Sciences. My mission is to make the world a more connected place by ensuring no person gets left behind due to the language(s) they do not speak. Through my roles in the health care field and now the identity verification field I have encountered a disheartening amount of people who are consistently the last to be seen or heard due to a communication barrier. One way this could be prevented is by ensuring each company has a team dedicated to providing nonnative speakers with a voice. Some Highlights: Assisted in building a Multilingual Department at ID.me. The creation of this department ensured the identity verification of over Spanish-speaking members in under 4 months. Patient Care Technician of the Year at Tampa General Hospital for the year 2019. I facilitated communication by translating for Doctors of Physical Therapy with over 30 Spanish-speaking patients. In my free time, you can find me either learning a new skill (currently coding) or reading a good book.
