Coastal Engineer - Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership July 2014 - Present Working on behalf of Havant Borough Council, Portsmouth City Council, Gosport Borough Council and Fareham Borough Council, my main responsilbilites / tasks at the Partnership includes- Environmental Impact Assessments - Habitats Regulations Assessments - Water Framework Directive Assessments - Report writing - Surveying (GPS Topographic Surveying) as part of the regional monitoring programme on the ESCP coast - Site supervision - Finance management - Coastal Flooding Incident Officer The main ESCP projects I am involved in includes- North Portsea Island CFERM Scheme - Southsea CFERM Scheme - River Hamble to Portchester Strategy - Portchester to Paulsgrove CFERM Scheme Assistant Coastal Surveyor - Havant Borough Council February 2014 - July 2014 During my time in this role, I assisted on site during beach re-nourishment and recycling operations at Eastoke, Hayling island. This allowed me to understand how a beach recycling project is delivered, by seeing the operation first hand, whilst assisting the project manager. I also undertook GPS Topographic Surveying which involved collecting elevation points across the beach.
