I create artful wool pile textile as rugs for wall or floor, mindfulness/ meditation mats, stools, other upholstered pieces and I also work with people to achieve their authentic custom style, whether that’s designing a custom rug for their interior space or supporting someone through recovery of their mental health and well-being. Strengthening the fabric of life is what I’m about having trained in woven textile design at Scottish College of Textiles in Galashiels; I find the interlocking yarns a good analogy with our stories, the threads of our lives, the choices we make, the routes we take and how this weaves us into the unique beings we are. I create functional, artful furnishings for people to relax, reflect, connect and hopefully increase well being for self and others.
