About Laura Dobos

I am someone who takes pride in their work. I am very driven and goal oriented which contribute to my ability to complete various given tasks. I have obtained experience in various fields of work, including manufacturing, marketing and customer service. Throughout my university career, I was faced with many obstacles but through perseverance and hard work I was successful in completing my undergraduate degree with good standing. I have always wanted to teach children and instil in them a good work ethic that will stay with them throughout their lives and becoming a teacher will allow me to obtain that goal. I want to be someone who will make a positive difference in the lives of children that I teach. I want to pass on my passion for science, specifically biology and nutrition, in hopes that maybe a passion will spark in the students. I have always enjoyed helping classmates in science and the satisfaction of knowing I helped them learn helped me realize my passion for teaching. I hope that through becoming a teacher in the senior/intermediate division of the school system will allow me to accomplish these goals. Our world is changing and evolving and as a teacher I need to be aware of the changes that our school system and issues that students are facing each day. I want to be a teacher with empathy and one that makes a difference in the lives of my students. Along with the world, science is advancing each day and as a professional in the field of science, research is critical. I enjoy learning and researching new information that helps to contribute to our understanding of science as a whole.
