About Laura Dookran

My journey as a Pharmacist began eight years ago at Starlite Group Ltd. I entered the company straight out of university with the eagerness to dive into the working world. For the first 6 months at the company, I completed my Pre-Registration probation, where I trained under a Licensed Pharmacist to learn all of the hands on skills required to adequately be registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board. I was then promoted to Junior Registered Pharmacist where I independently began my commitment to excellence. During this time, I upheld rigorous standards of practice where I leveraged my computer literacy to streamline pharmacy operations, enhancing efficiency and patient care. I worked in this role for seven years until I was promoted to Pharmacy Manager. As Pharmacy manager, I managed a team of over 10 employees that worked under my supervision daily. My team and I had a 98% customer satisfaction rate, retaining approximately 100% of our customers served. At Starlite, I've cultivated a reputation for meticulous attention to detail and a collaborative spirit that contributes significantly to our team's success. My dedication to the profession is mirrored in my recent certification in Canadian Workplace Etiquette, which underscores my adaptability and eagerness to embrace best practices here in Canada. I am currently registered with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada, where I am pursuing licensure exams to practice pharmacy as a Pharmacist.
