About Laura Doward

I’m motivated by making brilliant ideas happen. I’ve spent my career creating things that add value to people’s lives and believe that when we understand people, their needs and desires and bring that together with creative and imaginative thinking we can create experiences that people love, experiences that can change people and that can make them believe in something. My career is rooted in skills that help bring great ideas to life: Sales: I listen to people, understanding their needs Strategy: I interpret the data and insights, getting to a solutionCreative: I generate ideas that audiences want to engage withBut having a good idea is only part of my motivation. The other is making it happen. Leadership: I get people to believe in a vision of what we can achieve together, creating teams of differing disciplines around one shared goal and then motivate them by keeping the goal in sight. My approach has led to award-winning campaigns that have generated seven-figure deals for the Guardian including GuardianWitness, the Guardian’s citizen journalism platform launched in partnership with EE. I’m now launching a charity, Worlds Beyond Words, to create a silent comic for refugees in camps across Greece which aims to bring kids from different backgrounds together to enjoy shared experiences.
