About Laura Durda

I joined CDC Foundation in 2020 as a COVID-19 Corps Contact Tracing Manager where I partnered with local health jurisdiction managers across Ohio to coordinate their Covid-19 case investigation and contact tracing programs. While there, I reduced the backlog of COVID-19 cases by 79% and developed process improvement measures that eliminated redundancy and ensured quality standards in database management. In 2021, I joined the Infectious Disease department as a Program Officer and have been supporting the Partnering for Vaccine Equity (P4VE) program, which is a multi-year federal program working to build vaccine confidence, reduce vaccine disparity, and improve health equity among racial and ethnic communities across the U.S. In this role, I leads the program’s monitoring and evaluation activities and provides technical assistance to community-based partners in California, Connecticut, Hawai'i, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington state. I also manage the Vaccine Resource Hub: https://vaccineresourcehub.org/Prior to working at the CDC Foundation, I supported multiple international and domestic companies. As a Human Resources Manager and Global Recruiter, I strengthened processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and organizational good standing. My expertise in developing and implementing industry-standard recruiting and onboarding programs has enhanced her ability to manage, streamline, and implement her projects at the CDC Foundation.I received her Master of Science, Global Health, from Northwestern University. I am certified in Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro) and is proficient in Spanish. I have lived and worked in Bolivia, Costa Rica, Fiji, India, the Philippines, and Taiwan, and currently reside in Greensboro, North Carolina.
