About Laura E. Dodge

I am an epidemiologist with over 15 years of hands-on experience conducting high-quality clinical research and mentoring trainees and junior faculty. I am Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on dozens of research projects within our Department and across BIDMC, and I lead, manage, and supervise research projects from start to finish, beginning with formulating a strong research question, developing data collection instruments, writing and executing statistical analysis plans, and preparing results for publication. I have extensive experience conducting research using electronic health records and patient-reported outcomes, as well as with large national datasets. As a Biostatistical Consultant to investigators throughout the Longwood Medical Area as part of Harvard Catalyst, an NIH-funded clinical and translational science center, I collaborate on projects in a wide variety of specialities, including radiation and medical oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, and palliative medicine, among others.
