I achieved a first class honours (1:1) in a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Biochemistry at the University of Limerick. As part of this, I completed an internship as part of Manufacturing, Sciences and Technology (MSAT) team at Regeneron and a lab-based project cloning putative succinate semialdehyde dehydrogenase from Thermus thermophilus. I am currently working as a full-time QC Micro analyst at Regeneron. I am trained to a wide range of assays including bioburden, endotoxin, growth promotion, sterility testing and microbial identifications (Microseq & gram stain). Additional responsibilities include technical writing, logging/review of media/reagents and plate reads. I am also a gown qualifier to ISO 7 and ISO 8 clean room areas.
