About Laura Eder

Throughout my academic journey, I have pursued a multifaceted exploration of societal issues, beginning with European Studies at the Bachelor's level and advancing to a Master's degree in Social Work, Social Politics, and Social Management. This interdisciplinary education equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of European integration, social policy, and management strategies. Following my studies, I embarked on a fulfilling career path that allowed me to translate my academic knowledge into meaningful action. As a counselor for refugees and migrants, I had the privilege of working directly with individuals in need, providing support, advocacy, and empowerment to those navigating the challenges of displacement and resettlement. Over time, my dedication and expertise led me to assume the role of head of the department of asylum and migration, where I had the opportunity to shape policies and initiatives aimed at promoting the rights and well-being of vulnerable populations. My experiences in this role deepened my passion for the topics of asylum, migration, and human rights, instilling in me a strong desire to contribute to broader societal change. While I value the impact of my work on an individual level, I now aspire to participate in shaping political and social development on a larger scale. I am eager to shift my focus towards addressing systemic issues and creating frameworks that benefit a greater number of people simultaneously. In pursuit of this goal, I am committed to leveraging my expertise and insights to inform policy decisions, advocate for inclusive practices, and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders. By working on the broader perspective, I aim to effect positive change that transcends individual circumstances and contributes to a more just, equitable, and compassionate society.
