About Laura Edwards

Having spent many years working in the laboratory, I am revelling branching out into something different. I bring a creative and innovative approach to complex areas and concepts, I revel in making the complicated simple, and transferring my significant and extensive expertise in biomedical, intimate wellness and regenerative medicine to other areas. A resilient, industrious, enthusiastic and uplifting individual; passionate about logical and multi-disciplinary challenges as part of my work. Extensive experience in Biological and Biomedical fields; in particular histology, the development of acellular arteries for use as kidney dialysis vascular grafts, acellular liver to enhance and extend liver cell function and medical devices. Extensive experience in researching large data volumes and communicating on both lay and scientific terms. Experience of systematic searches and reviews and the creation of reports for those at various levels of understanding. Able to work with those at both Senior and Junior levels within multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising and completing work effectively and efficiently. Extensive teaching, mentoring and training experience within multiple fields. Outgoing, positive and friendly attitude to both colleagues and clients. Approachable and amenable, with excellent listening and communication skills. Thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with others both within, and out of, a team. Diligent and critical; producing high standards of work in a sustained, logical and methodical way. Previous work experience and knowledge of the National Health Service, Medical devices, Medical affairs and teaching students of various ages and Outreach activities.
