Co-Founder of Rare Ireland Family Support Network. Passionate about supporting families affected by Rare Disease in Ireland at all stages of their journey. Experienced in raising awareness of Rare Disease and the challenges facing families particularly in the areas of mental health, lack of services, respite and family support. Co-founded Rare Ireland in 2017 in an effort to ease the isolation facing families before, during and after their child’s rare diagnosis. Obtained charity status in February this year allowing us to offer financial support to rare families, contributing towards private therapies and genetic appointments. Advocating on behalf of my own rare daughter and the rare disease community, working and linking in with other groups and professionals to have Rare Disease voices heard.
