About Laura Graham

As a Hospitality Management graduate of Durham College, I have an overall knowledge of many aspects of the hospitality industry. Through my studies and hands-on learning I quickly gained interest in guest services, food and beverage, event planning, housekeeping, recreation, and any other department that would motivate me to polish and perfect both my hard and soft skill sets. Now in my 16th year in the customer service industry; I spent six years cashiering at Dairy Queen and Independent Grocer, and then began my Hospitality career journey at Deerhurst Resort immediately upon obtaining my diploma in Hospitality at Durham College. My first position at Deerhurst involved a great deal of cross-training throughout the resort as a whole and my roles continued to evolve and expand my skill set as I became responsible for the training and organizing of new employees and protocols. Over the next nine years, I worked my way to my several management roles such as Resort Duty Manager, Guest Services Manager, and Assistant Housekeeping Manager. In early 2025 I transitioned into a new role as Food and Beverage Coordinator to continue to grow and expand and broaden my knowledge of the industry outside of the Rooms Division. I enjoy working for and with others to help expand their skills in the Hospitality industry, as well as challenging my own. Over the years, I have earned various acknowledgements from many managers and owners I have worked with, for my dedication and for providing excellent customer service and leadership in every position I have held. I feel that the level of professionalism I have gained will only continue to enhance my career and allow my passion to grow.
