About Laura Grant

I am currently working as a Marketing Executive at Thomas Miller, UKP & I Club. I have worked for the company for over 12 years in a variety of roles including Communications Assistant, Claims Executive, and Team Secretary. I have a calm, adaptable and creative approach to my work which includes, website management, social media, internal communications, newsletter creation and more. Having been a Claims Executive for 6 years where I also completed various P & IQ exam modules, I have a great understanding of the industry. One of my favourite parts of the role is the varied tasks we get involved in, as I jump at the chance to learn something new and get creative! I have also built great relationships and knowledge within the company allowing me to anticipate business needs and create innovative solutions. Always one to have a project on the go, I previously side hustled as a blogger, building my own websites on Wordpress, starting a newsletter on MailChimp and working with various brands on campaigns. One of which I started on Maternity leave and coupled with launching a local meet up group for new mums. I have a passion for writing and digital creation be that, drawing on Procreate or experimenting in Canva. It's amazing how much you can learn with a little help from Professor Youtube! My current side hustle is weekend farmer. I absolutely adore my Sunday mornings on the farm, surrounded by nature, animals and fresh air. I also have three chickens of my own at home which we raised from chicks. You could call me a hobby collector, but from every hobby I collect, I gain some knowledge, skills or experience which I can take back into the 9-5.
