About Laura Ingriselli

I am currently completing a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at University of Toronto. I previously completed a Bachelor of Art Undergraduate Degree, in Psychology, Family and Child Studies, while working as a Direct Support Professional and a Volunteer Peer Counselor. As a committed life-long learner, I have generated a broad range of education; both from formal post-secondary establishments and from varying alternative sources, such as additional trainings, online educational platforms, employment and volunteer endeavors, and invaluable life-experiences. I have actively pursued opportunities that would broaden my abilities, and remain in line with the meaningful work I hope to accomplish throughout my career. Beyond my education and workplace experiences, I have undertaken training related to mental health, safeTALK practices, American Sign Language, non-crisis intervention, First Aid and CPR. My range of positions have demonstrated my capacity to adjust to any workplace, collaborate with others, and put knowledge to practical use. I have established skills in oral and written communication, interpersonal relationships, person-centered approaches, team collaboration, listening skills, self-reflection, compassionate care, supporting those with various disabilities, implementing behaviour support plans and professional documentation.
