Background
About Laura Jin
I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas, passionate about supporting the mental well-being of both children and adults. My professional experience as a Clinical Support Specialist (QMHP) at ADAPT Community Solutions allowed me to gain hands-on experience with mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and collaborative treatment planning in a forensic setting. I am currently deepening my skills in play-based therapy and culturally responsive care, and I am fluent in both English and Mandarin. I am especially interested in opportunities that allow me to work with diverse populations and apply developmentally appropriate interventions for children, while also continuing to grow my skills in adult counseling and treatment planning. As I work toward licensure, I am actively seeking internship opportunities where I can contribute my compassion, cultural awareness, and clinical training to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
