Laura Johnson is a strategic, seasoned, thoughtful leader focused on ensuring that abundant resources are available to organizations to ensure people can create healthier, more equitable realities for themselves. Laura has a history of success working both within program management and fundraising. She fundraised on the largest social service organization comprehensive campaign in state history raising $180M+ to ensure that young people and families can develop into their fullest potential. As a program manager, she managed a nationally recognized specialty food gathering program that leveraged in-kind donations valued at $18M annually; donations tripled under her leadership. She is also an adept facilitator and has hosted conversations and peer learning groups through TableTalks Peer Learning and as a co-founder of the “Race in the For Impact sector” chats.Laura has collaborated with movement leaders and within nonprofits to help enhance anti-racist, anti-oppression change efforts. She has worked at the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Food Lifeline, Jewish Family Service Food Bank, Bellingham Parks and Recreation, and The Western Foundation.Laura thrives on helping individuals and organizations explore new best practices that emphasize social and racial justice. She works to center the needs of people in the communities that the nonprofit exists to serve while remaining grateful to staff and donors. She believes this must be daily and ongoing work both for herself, her clients, and the organizations she works within.
