Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Akron Community Foundation. Laura meets with current and potential fundholders to discover their philanthropic passions and show them how they can do great things through the community foundation. She also leads the professional advisory committee made up of wealth managers, trust officers, attorneys and accountants to increase the exposure of ACF and create giving opportunities that are simple and accessible for fundholders. • Responsible for meeting with current and potential donors to establish endowment and donor advised funds, increase current giving and providing comprehensive planned giving options • Plans, coordinates and implements charitable investment account program(s) at 6 local banks to expand ACF’s level of service and flexibility in all areas of charitable giving • Leads the Professional Advisory Council and Network comprised of attorneys, wealth managers, and accountants to enhance current trends in giving and expand ACF’s vital role in the community • Maintains a stewardship program to renew and enhance relationship with individual, agency and corporate donors
