Experienced social care manager working at operational and strategic level developing new services, bringing transformational change to evolving services. Passionate about all things strengths based, trauma informed, recovery focused with people at the heart of delivery. Current role Plan B Manager Plan B is a therapeutic-based Supported Lodging Environment across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay for 16 to 21 years old. We support the young person to develop healthy relationships and a chance to fulfil their potential by creating an individual wraparound package for the young person and host families within a therapeutic and psychologically informed environment. Young people are given opportunities to improve their emotional literacy and resilience,developing quality relationships and facilitating the cycle of change using evidence based interventions. Plan B operates through a trauma informed lens, with focus on attachment theory, neuroscience and a strengths based approach at the heart of all our interventions and interactions. It has grown from the concept of a young person becoming an integrated part of a host’s home, supported by a ‘wrap-around’ therapeutic-based intervention package, designed specifically for that young person that is informed by neuroscience research and evidence based practice. There is an emphasis on the importance of safety, stability, authentic emotional warmth and attachments for young people.
