About Laura Lucas

I knew early on that I wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, I grew up dancing and learning to play various instruments. In school, I excelled in more arts and creatively-driven classes and was a member of both the drama club and the concert band in high school. After high school, I pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies at Brock University which ended up evolving into a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Film Studies and History. Through Brock, I had the opportunity to study Film abroad for a semester in Scotland at Queen Margaret University in 2020. It was while I was in Scotland that I decided I wanted to specifically pursue a career in the music industry as I no longer was feeling fulfilled with film, which led me to study Music Business at Humber College in 2021 where I had the opportunity to complete two internships in the music industry one with Evolutionary Music Co-operative (EvMC) and The K Group Inc. both administrative roles. In my current position as a Data Entry Clerk at Germania Mutual Insurance, I have had the opportunity to advance my skills with the Microsoft Suite as well as gain a further understanding of the importance of Data not only in insurance but how it also plays a role in a variety of different industries including the music industry.
