Background
About Laura MacFadyen
I’m a Tech Lead of Matte Painting, helping bring big visual worlds to life for film and streaming projects. I enjoy the mix of hands-on creativity and problem-solving - painting the perfect shot or guiding a team through tricky technical challenges. I’ve been lucky to gain supervisor experience along the way, managing artists, scheduling, and joining strategy meetings with upper management. I like collaborating with artists, sharing what I’ve learned, and finding ways to make the process smoother for everyone. I’m at my best balancing the artistic side with leadership and I’m always excited to take on new challenges and push creative work to the next level. Specialties: Matte Painting, Nuke camera projection, Leadership
