Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have immersed myself in various roles that align with my goal of championing inclusivity within hockey communities. From coaching young athletes to serving as Assistant to the Director of Hockey Operations at the North Shore Winter Club, I have been privileged to witness firsthand how impactful mentorship and supportive leadership can transform lives. My time with organizations like BC Hockey, where I currently serve on the Board of Directors, and my work with Pucks for Purpose have equipped me with the skills to engage communities, foster partnerships, and amplify messages that promote diversity and acceptance. In addition to my hands-on experience in hockey operations, I have cultivated a robust understanding of media and communications through my role as Social Media Designate for the StFX Men’s Varsity Hockey team. By connecting athletes with fans and encouraging players to share their stories, I am working to create a culture within hockey that celebrates individuality and promotes a sense of belonging for all.
