Laura is a highly accomplished media executive and consultant with 20 years experience leading some of the country's biggest brands across broadcast, podcast, video, digital, and social platforms. An expert in storytelling across platforms, she knows how to create impact through content and help businesses build lifelong relationships with customers and audiences. Her diverse skill set across content development, strategy, leadership, training and expertise in younger audiences is rare in the industry. As the Manager of Australia’s largest and most successful youth brands, triple j and triple j Unearthed, Laura led broad digital and cultural change to achieve historic reach, record fundraising results, and audience gains across multiple broadcast, podcast, social and video platforms. Her work in youth crowd-sourced journalism saw the team accumulate multiple awards, including prestigious Walkley nominations for Public Service Journalism. Laura’s expertise in training and development is extensive. As a trainer within the ABC Training & Development team and throughout her time at the ABC she delivered training for staff at all career levels - from journalistic fundamentals and basic craft skills, through to leadership and strategy sessions. This experience saw her appointed as the inaugural Chair of the ABC’s Next Gen youth advisory committee - providing advice across the organisation on content propositions for audiences under 40 and building an executive leadership pipeline for future leaders. As an Executive Producer within the ABC’s podcast production studio Laura led podcast development from concept through to delivery, shepherding storytelling and producing some of the organisations best performing titles. Her work in the competitive Sydney talk radio market means she’s equally comfortable across broadcast and on demand products. Later appointed to the ABC’s Digital Content & Innovation leadership team Laura drove the creation of the Digital Content team, bringing together specialist teams across digital, social and video formats and developing content strategies for the organisation’s highest priority products. Laura’s broad expertise and dedication to creating content that resonates with diverse audiences and empowering younger staff sets her apart as a transformative leader in the media industry.
