About Laura McDonagh
I graduated from the University of Dundee LLB (Hons) in 2007 and obtained my Diploma in Legal Practice the following year. After taking a year out to work for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs I trained at Morton Fraser LLP in Edinburgh and qualified as a solicitor in 2011. Throughout my traineeship I gained experience in a variety of departments but spent a year in the Dispute Resolution Department dealing with all manner of Sheriff Court and Court of Session matters. After a short spell working for Vialex Limited as a Corporate Solicitor I joined Drummond Miller in January 2012 as an assistant working within the Court of Session Department in Edinburgh. I was promoted to Associate in June 2014 and am enjoying the extra responsibility this brings. I undertake a wide range of instructions on behalf of individual clients and other solicitors from throughout Scotland, in a variety of areas including personal injury, judicial review and commercial actions. I also act on a wide variety of feeing structures from Legal Aid to private paying, speculative to insurance funded. I am also a notary public.
