About Laura Millward

I am the Rooms Division Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton London - Victoria. In this role I am leading 3 departments, Maintenence, Front office and Housekeeping in a 251 room hotel. Previously, I was the Front Office Manager at the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton, leading a large team of Receptionists, Concierge, nights and public areas team members. During my two years living in Cyprus, I was working as a Guest Services Officer at the Almyra hotel. In this role, I handled all complaints, requests and VIPs. Alongside this, I was also one of the trained First Aiders on duty. In addition, I worked for 3CX as an Account Manager, managing multiple high-level accounts and providing sales expertise to our partner base. I was consistently ensuring targets were met. I was working as a Reception Supervisor at The Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel, part of Red Carnation Hotels. Throughout my time here, I worked my way up from Receptionist to Reception Supervisor within 5 months, leading to the progression to Reception Manager just prior to Covid-19. I gained a First-Class BA Honours degree in International Hospitality Management from Bournemouth University, graduating in 2019. This degree allowed me to expand my knowledge in multiple subjects and relate my experience to industry.
