About Laura Morgan

I'm a Chartered Accountant and member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. As an experienced Lecturer in Accounting and a Professional Examiner for Advanced Audit and Assurance exams, I have a wealth of knowledge and expertise. My expertise lies in audit and assurance, financial accounting, risk management and helping accounting students develop the necessary skills for the workplace. Prior to joining Ulster University in 2018, I worked in private practice as an Audit Manager in KPMG, where I was exposed to a diverse range of clients across multiple industries. I also gained experience in a mid-sized accounting firm, where my main role was to prepare statutory financial statements and personal and corporate tax returns for a wide range of clients. This hands on experience equips me to offer students practical audit examples, enriching their understanding of technical concepts. I'm deeply committed to the success and well-being of my students. I prioritise their growth and will do everything in my capacity to ensure they achieve their full potential. Through interactive lectures, real-life case studies, and hands-on exercises, I strive to inspire my students to develop a deep understanding of accounting principles and their real-world applications.
