About Laura Munro

Since I was young, I have been fiscally conservative while intrinsically creative in the arts and general problem solving, whether textbook or real-life scenarios. I left the recruiting industry in 2018 to become more fully engaged in the management of my family's new venue, Live Oak Plantation. I quickly saw an opportunity to use these skills in what I saw as a previously untapped market in the greater Pensacola area - budget friendly event rental decor and event planning. With overall budget being clients’ primary concern, spending on florists, decorators and event planners was usually the first thing they cut. I saw an avenue for lucrative employment and established Petal & Twig, LLC, to provide high quality floral, décor and planning services at a fraction of the competitors' prices. Offering faux florals rather than live florals, my cost was drastically reduced, allowing me to provide highly incentivizing pricing to hook clients. Additionally, because I had on-site storage, I was able to wave standard industry fees for décor, consultations, storage, and delivery saving brides approximately for décor and planning services. For the past two years, though approximately 100% of the clients who booked events at Live Oak Plantation hired me, due to COVID-19 prohibiting mass gathering and changing the forecast, I am seeking employment in sales, marketing, administration, and other unaffected business fields to apply my talents and skills. Outside of work I am very passionate about being involved and connected with my local community. A few of my favorite organizations that I am currently putting most of my focus on are IMPACT 100, Leadership Pensacola, The Propeller Club, OnBikes, The First Tee of Northwest Florida and the Krewe of Hip Huggers!
