Background
About Laura Nelson
I am a career veterinary educator, board-certified veterinary surgeon, and leader. My work in the veterinary field has ranged from cage cleaner to faculty surgeon to service in academic administration. I am passionate about creating structures and cultures that support the careers, well-being, and success of those who work in higher education. In my current role, I bring together my experience as a clinician, associate dean, educator, and leader to develop, communicate, and implement policies and programs that support clinical education at NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
