Background

About Laura Nicholson

Data, sustainability, energy, and science communication motivates me. I draw on all elements of my background to inform my work: program and project management, energy efficiency, renewable energy education, geospatial modeling, community impact assessments. I also draw on themes and framework from my experiences less explicitly related to current and recent positions: a fascination of neuropsychology combines with my studies in environmental persuasion, teaching the novelty of swim lessons-which I lovingly and only slightly facetiously call "an empirical co-investigation of fluid dynamics and the principles of biomechanics." Any position I take, my thirst for understanding and knowledge will have me diving into the core technical topics: grid infrastructure and electrical systems, heat pump technology, the photovoltaic effect, methods for modeling electricity and/or electron and/or energy flow, considerations of physics in sea level rise.the list continues. My passion for understanding and re-communicating complex ideas in fun and simpler ways also leads me to add a plug here for a wonderful science and data communicator I had to pleasure to study under: https://github.com/allisonhorst/
