About Laura Packard

Trying to reach my dream and help vulnerable populations through individual therapy, or providing developing or improving group therapy. Graduated August 2021. Inducted into Phi Alpha Honor Society and Alpha Ellison Lambda. Interned with Samaritans Suicide Hotline and a counseling center. The Balanced Learning Center I worked with individual clients under 18 and co-facilitated a gender support group, an LGBTQ support group, a healthy relationship support group and a women’s support group. I also helped with a summer stem class, art therapy group, math class and Quest Social Skills adventure program. I plan on continuing working in the mental health field in any capacity that feels right, as well as pursuing my LICSW, by following through with two years of supervision. I have been in human services since I was 18 and found my passion in this field. I have been to community meetings for discrimination, suicide, and community support for our children and plan on staying involved through different methods.
