About Laura Pellini

Weirdly enough I don't get to say I'm an international student anymore, so I guess I now fit into the niche category of the non-immigrant alien art major who got a little bit too lucky when chasing her dreams. I am a graphic designer, photographer, and visual artist experienced in painting, printmaking, video editing, art direction, data analytics, and animation. I am currently working as the Graphic Design Specialist for FSU Libraries here in Tallahassee while getting my master's in Marketing Management Communications. I am also a certified Adobe Professional in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. But I am just as proficient in Lightroom, InDesign, and Premiere Pro. I also have experience working in Autodesk Sketchbook, Figma (now Adobe XD), Trello, and Freedcamp. During my senior year, I completed FSU's Honors in The Major program. In my thesis, I deep-dived into gender biases in Advertising and explored the portrayal of women in film posters during the early nineties. I'm also fluent in both English and Spanish with a sprinkle of Italian. When I am not making my computer sweat, I enjoy cooking, lifting, painting, and singing the Hamilton soundtrack with scary precision.
