What I'm Passionate About: • My greatest passions are travelling and creating. • Attention to detail, relationship building for a win-win program, while balancing creativity and structure at the same time are what I'm known for. • I am most excited to create / assist with events / programs that step away from the ordinary. Seeing it come successfully to fruition is incredibly rewarding. My Experience: • I have worked onsite as Travel Staff for the past 3 years. During this time, I have been exposed to groups up to attendees, massive trade shows, big name entertainment functions, international events, virtual and live events across many corporate disciplines. • As a Senior Conference Services Manager with a high end beach resort, I worked with clients to develop a corporate meeting / incentive experience. These multi million dollar programs were very intense and required creativity, attention to detail and a clear understanding of goals for the planner, attendee and budget. • During my time with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, I had over direct reports, including supervisors, assistant managers and department heads. I have managed every aspect of overseeing colleagues from hiring, performance management, counseling, recognition, departmental meetings and termination. • As Bow Valley Grill Manager at the Fairmont Banff Springs, I successfully raised our employee engagement from 64% to 79% within one year as well as received the prestigious General Manager's Award for exceding goals in Guest Satisfaction, Health & Safety as well as budgeted revenues. • In the role of F&B Training Manager for one season at the Banff Springs, I conducted 2 day training seminars for all new colleagues (approximately 300) focusing on service standards, health & safety, guest woo, and basic food and beverage knowledge. • At the Empress Hotel, Victoria, I learned to work effectively with the union. I developed such good relationships with the colleagues in my area that grievances decreased to zero over my time there. • I continually seek the most efficient route to solving problems or tackling everyday tasks. As F&B Payroll Administrator, I revamped the daily reporting method to make the bi weekly reports simpler, faster and easier to manipulate. • At the Fairmont Banff Springs, I assisted in creating a paperless gratuity system for our Payroll Department which saved the company approximately 8 hours in labor daily.
