About Laura Prada

Laura Prada was born in Havana, Cuba, and lives in Miami. With a deep-rooted passion for art, she earned her Bachelor’s in Art at College of the Atlantic, Maine. She’s been studying Fashion Design at various schools, and finally at the Miami Fashion Institute, where she is now a Fashion Design student. Laura’s journey in the fashion industry has been marked by significant experiences, including her role as a Fashion and Styling Assistant for prestigious British Vogue - “Runway Icons” Fashion Show by Luisa Roma, held in Florence, Italy. In 2022, she launched a vintage store, blending her love for photography and commitment to sustainable fashion. Through this venture, she uses recycled and slow fashion as powerful mediums of storytelling. Her expertise spans various aspects of fashion design, including fashion illustration, concept development for collections, pattern-making, and garment construction. Currently, Laura is channeling her creativity and skills into her final fashion collection for the upcoming Miami Fashion Institute Fashion Show.
