About Laura Roese

I’m Laura Roese—The Digital Scholar—an experienced high school educator, curriculum designer, and doctoral candidate passionate about bridging the gap between traditional instruction and emerging technologies in education. I bring over 15 years of experience teaching English Language Arts, Journalism, and Technology Studies to diverse student populations, including students with learning disabilities. I’ve led instructional teams, coached preservice teachers, and served as a trusted college essay mentor and writing tutor for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students alike. Currently, I’m pursuing my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership & Management with a concentration in Learning Technologies at Drexel University. My research explores how microlearning and GenAI can support real-time professional development for high school teachers. I also work as an education freelancer, creating practical, research-backed tools and digital products that support teachers in using AI, instructional technology, and creative pedagogy with confidence and integrity. My work includes professional development design, qualitative research, curriculum mapping, and digital content strategy for secondary and postsecondary education.
