About Laura Sohlo

I'm a passionate and thorough chemist, with excellent time management and teamwork skills. I completed my Master's degree in the Chemistry degree program at the University of Oulu in spring 2023, and I specialized in organic chemistry. Safety, quality and research are topics that I’m excited to work with. I’m a strong team player with a positive mindset and great communication skills and for that I have received a lot of positive feedback from previous employers. I have good project management and organizational skills, and I have completed the PRY Foundation certification in my studies. I have worked with multiple projects simultaneously and learned to prioritize my work effectively in changing situations. I have experience on following EU and Finnish legislations, focusing on chemical and safety regulations. I have also worked with chemical risk assessments, and I’ve also created and translated SDS in Finnish. Additionally, I have good communication skills with a diverse audience, since I have been performing in webinars and client meetings. I have experience with different kinds of analytical methods, such as AFM, QCM-D, SEM, NMR and surface analytical techniques. I’m also familiar with working in a laboratory environment and planning my own research. I’m always working with safety first.
