Background
About Laura Tedone
I started my University career studying Marine Biology and Ecology at the University of Messina, where I earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master of Science qualifications, both with the maximum score (110/110). After that, I obtained a PhD scholarship and, in March 2014, I earned a PhD in Food Chemistry and Safety from the SCIFAR (Dipartimento di Scienze del Farmaco e dei Prodotti per la Salute) Department, University of Messina, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Peter Q. Tranchida. During this course, my research has been mainly focused on the analysis of aroma and flavour compounds through GC and GC×GC analysis in food, beverages and other kind of products. Furthermore, I've been involved in the characterization of fatty acids from different sources, such as plants and marine organisms, by monodimensional GC and GC×GC. My interests are in a large range of applications, in marine biology/ecology/microbiology and analytical-food chemistry fields.
