About Laura Uzzell

A dedicated and experienced program designer, coordinator and manager from Newark, New Jersey with a passion for community service and leadership, committed to improving the lives of others both within and beyond the workplace. My journey has taken me from impactful roles in urban education to meaningful involvement in the mission of improving the access to proper care and resources. Each experience has strengthened my belief in the power of empathy, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving. In my current role as a Program Manager at the National Medical Fellowships, I oversee program development, coordinate stakeholder engagement, and ensure the successful implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare leadership and access in underserved communities. My approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by marginalized communities and I am driven by a desire to create sustainable, positive change. Outside of work, I channel my energy into volunteering and mentoring, believing that giving back to the community is not just a responsibility, but a privilege. Through my involvement with North Jersey Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, I continue to learn, grow, and contribute to causes that align with my values. I am always open to connecting with like-minded professionals and exploring new opportunities to make a difference.
