About Laura Wicks

I was originally drawn to the field of HR because of the opportunity to play a critical role in the continual improvement of an organization. From finding ways to make the business more efficient to helping align the goals of the company and its employees, I want to be a part of it. HR is never dull. There are new challenges to tackle every day, which I thrive on facing head on with critical thinking, a calm demeanor, and a keen attention to detail. Outside of work, you'll typically find me on the volleyball court, at a local brewery, or taking pictures of my two cats. I'm a fan of all things nerdy, be it sci-fi or theatre, I can go from discussing Doctor Who to La Boheme in an instant. I greatly cherish the amount of time I have to spend with family, friends, or on my own when I'm not at work. In a world that now never shuts off and where people are always accessible, HR has to promote work-life balance as a top priority for the betterment of not only employees but organizations as a whole.
