About Laure Castets

Mine could have been a story about wine, sex and freedom. Now that I caught your attention, here is another version of my professional path. What I do: I create products, retail experiences and educational programs. All of it to enchant clients of the most disruptive brands in the industry. For 17 years now, I have worked for skincare and makeup brands with powerful territories & had an impact on reinforcing their identity. That includes (but not limited to) getting inspired by:* grapes (CAUDALIE, you got the wine reference),* avant-garde makeup (NARS, the most subversive brand),* a little girl that became a legend thanks to her sense of freedom (CHANEL). How I do it: Innovation & collaboration are my main drivers.* A blank page of is the best way to start a new chapter. Curiosity and the thirst for learning are encapsulated in my DNA. I get excited by newness in products, retail experiences & new ways of educating. I thrive thinking about ways of approaching a project, especially when there is no guide book.* I strongly believe that ideas and visions are better when iterated together. I am a "cheerleader" type of manager:"you can do it, what do you need from me?". I empower collaborators to trust themselves, I challenge them so they can grow and reach theirs and the company's objectives. Develop people, cultivate talents and elevate others is my mission #1.* I care about inclusivity. I have lived in the West Indies and in the US, which has helped me built an ever-growing and always-evolving awareness of what inclusion means. I try to implement it on the daily, and create an impact on structures. Why I do it: I believe what's beautiful heals the soul. We now have to find ways to create beauty in a way that's safe for the planet. I am a Climate Fresk facilitator - and I love getting people engaged in environmental matters. Knowledge is power.
